Just had a text from merchant saying winter barley was a not bad £120/t!
I shan't repeat my response.
But most was grown instead of wheat?Record acres of spring barley. Feed barley will be plentiful in a few weeks. It’s competing with cheap maize imports in feed rations too.

Is it though? Harvest barley around here is £127 and wheat is still in the £160s I believe. Still too much gap but getting closer to standard £30.00 ish.If wheat today is £170, and barley is £120, I'd suggest the discount is too high.
