Watch out, the H&S keyboard warriors will be along in a minute...

I mean the tractor was stopped and I was just out of shot ready to make a grab for them....

Don't think so.

The swath out of the rotary is just more dense.

Where do you think it's gone? Why would there be double the straw out the back of the straw walker combine with 10ft less header width?
Pulverised, onto sieves and scattered by chaff spreader, but should be avoidable in Northern parts. I hate the other extreme more, where juicy straw emerges similar to chopped silage.

Don't know if you gave Look North permission or not but i recognise that video that they used tonight.
What was Look North up to?, been too busy to watch telly!
Did you get any rain last night? Friend told me it really rained hard last night to the east and luckily I missed it,this afternoon also missed another heavy storm this just to the north.
Feet up now till Monday, running out of stuff what is ready.

They had a piece about climate change and how cropping would have to change - Alan Stennett did a piece to camera about cropping changes - and they played a vid of a JD header from cab shot which you had posted earlier!

Oh and it rained for all of 5 seconds heavily and flashed a few times and that was it!

Just thinking about this, as i've seen a few tweets over the last few days about how we shouldn't let children into the harvest field, let alone have a round on the combine. I got a PM last year asking me to remove a picture of our girl sitting in the jump seat on the combine as it contravened the spirit of farm safety week etc.....

It seems to me a sad state of affairs when we can't even let our own children see the harvest in action, what real risk is there if we bring the combine to a stop, lift/assist a child on, strap them into the spare seat and let them have a ride?

I get that there is a risk, but there is also a risk to letting them play contact sports, or ride a horse etc.
