Pulverised, onto sieves and scattered by chaff spreader, but should be avoidable in Northern parts. I hate the other extreme more, where juicy straw emerges similar to chopped silage.

Your probably correct but he doesn’t actually say that tho, he says he “expects to make a £16k profit this year before machinery costs or drawings” which is what made me think he was talking about his entire operations and then think... crikey!!!!

Just thinking about this, as i've seen a few tweets over the last few days about how we shouldn't let children into the harvest field, let alone have a round on the combine. I got a PM last year asking me to remove a picture of our girl sitting in the jump seat on the combine as it contravened the spirit of farm safety week etc.....
It seems to me a sad state of affairs when we can't even let our own children see the harvest in action, what real risk is there if we bring the combine to a stop, lift/assist a child on, strap them into the spare seat and let them have a ride?
I get that there is a risk, but there is also a risk to letting them play contact sports, or ride a horse etc.
