I can see this fourm is full of keyboard heros i live in canada where roads are straight and you can see for miles we dont use the tractor for pulling heavy loads with no brakes we have trucks for that i travel alot with a baler or rake or 3pht mower and would be nice to spend less time driving to the field

as i said above the dealer can do it but it leaves a trace on the tractor of which laptop has changed it and if your speed limit is 50 k if its changed and a accident happens if you were in this country jail awaits

Makes more sense now - I did ask Fendt when on a factory tour why the 900 series could do 65kph and 700 just 50 - the answer was the 700 vario was not up to going faster and lifespan would be compromised if it was adjusted via laptop to go faster

For what its worth and farming along busy, fast roads like the a5 and a38 I think going faster in tractors is far safer, and far less chance of being hit hard from behind by an HGV which is the accident I fear most. it's not legal in the UK though hence the reaction you got from most

Welcome to TFF btw !

I would say taking into account a 712 isn’t the most powerful tractor in the world and with say a round baler on the back the outfit will be approaching 10 ton, Show it any sort of hill and it won’t maintain 50k never mind anything faster.

simple answer would be to start a bit earlier and take a bigger dinner box And flask with you, and enjoy the ride!
