Liquid fert through a flat fan nozzle...??

So, I don't currently use liquid fert but am thinking of setting up an applicator on my drill to apply NP liquid fert to the seedbed..
I appreciate liquid fert through a flat fan nozzle would scorch leaves but in a drilling situation where you're spraying it directly on to the soil would it be ok...? Or are fert nozzles a must?

No they work fine.

Just as long as you're not applying N to autumn cereals in an NVZ...

N&P? You'll be using a clear liquid p, which is suggest was in no way cost effective.

Use coarse jets in order to reduce coverage of the drilling rig and subsequent corrosion!
My favoured approach would be to use metering discs and fert tubes to dribble it on / near the seed [if sown in lines?]

It's going on a 3metre Claydon drill so will need 9 bands up to 7 inches wide.... Looks like 200l/ha at 6kph will need orange nozzles at about 2 bar......I think!
I just need to choose the angle of the nozzles and how far away from the soil surface the nozzles need to be to get a maximum of 7" coverage..
