Unlikely after September, because that is about the time the new stricter emission regulations hit and why there is a new D-Max and Mercedes and VW abandoning the market. The current engine doesn't hack it and they have said that they will not develop the engines to meet the stricter standards.
They don't want to kill the market for vehicles already imported, so they aren't putting it as plainly as they could, while stocks last.
I've yet to see one of the current models on the road, even though it has been available since last Autumn, which is about nine months ago.

So, they'll be back in the UK next year... we're leaving the EU and tearing up all their regs don't you know

Going to buy a new one it’s between invincible and a tekna , however have not denied either yet , anyone tried either of these ? Like Toyota but hate that new front end not botherd about Nissan but think they look great . Hmmm what you think ?
Happy nissan owner here, just ticked over 40k and its not missed a beat (not that it should of course)

its economical, comfortable, pulls well, and the auto box is very good. I like mine a lot

Cant comment on the hilux, but as a new pickup, its hard to beat the Navara on value imo

I won’t be leasing I’ve just been costing leasing v buying over ten years lease is very expensive in comparison .

I agree but then you buy the Hilux or risk something catastrophic going bang/snapped chassis type problems in another vehicle. Fords- engine goes crump, Nissan, chassis goes crump or engine goes bang. At least the Toyota you know will still be running in 10 years because it was built properly to start with.

I'm no mechanic but I gather it something to do with the sump corroding and the pump drawing up the filings into the engine. We use the same local garage and it's the second ranger he seen with same issue
So rusty sumps? And rusting from the inside with all that oil sloshing around. Well I never! And the rust being bad enough and in such volume that it sucks up through the oil pump's pre-filter and bypasses the engine oil filter as well apparently.
Sounds like a very tall tale to me. Someone may have been yanking your chain I'm afraid, especially as your example is just three and a bit years of age, if that.

He's maybe referring to this (which is the only engine issue result which comes up for in any search). What's the chances its this forum :ROFLMAO:

The oil pump failure had long been sorted before 2017 production and certainly was nothing whatsoever to do with rusty sumps. It was/is a weakness in the alloy casting of the pump drive. There is a modified pump that can and should be fitted to 2014 and earlier models and all LR Defender and Transit fitted with the same 2.2 and 3.2 litre Diesel engines.
So I doubt very much indeed whether he is referring to that well known issue.
