thinking about it, that $3K might have been for a pair, but it was 3 or 4 yrs ago & I couldn’t be arsed looking back to find out, tbh.
However, a quick google finds this, before ringing my tyre dealer

but yes, tyres ARE expensive here, along with most machinery, utes & tractors.
The thing is, when you are contracting, planting a crop for someone else, or even just doing your own planting, you dont have the luxury of shopping around for the cheapest tyre or taking your time. Its just get it fixed as quickly as possible, as its a time critical operation . . .

admittedly a long time ago now, but I was working on a farm locally here in my mid 20’s, we were running a Versatile articulated 4wd tractor of about 345 hp, on duals ( so 8 tyres, on 38” rims I think ), as the main farming tractor. It was about 5 years old & needed a new set of boots. They ended up trading it in on a brand new equivalent size Versatile for about what it would have cost to put new tyres on the old girl . . .
I clearly remember the discussion with the boss at the time
Quick look here finds this:

At first glance, this snake looks incredibly ambitious.

However, the fox proved to be the true aggressor here and the python had other plans.

The fox attacked and bit down on the snakes lower jaw, so the python retaliated and wrapped itself around the fox's head, eventually suffocating the fox.

When the photographer found these two, the snake was still trapped inside the jaws of the fox. Mr. McGrath had to use a screwdriver to pry the fox's jaw open and release the snake.

The snake was injured but made a full recovery.

I like your attitude
I see some people who will intentionally hit wildlife if they get half a chance to do so, whether in a tractor or their car, really irks me when harmless wildlife killed intentionally
We fight a running battle with wildlife last night I had to chase a herd of 70 impala away from a field but we chase away and don’t kill we have 45 watchmen whose job is to keep wildlife out of the crops sometimes unsuccessfully but we are very lucky to be living amongst it all. However I hate ducks if I could napalm them I would.
