Does anyone manage their sheep enterprise

There's no point in having a standard product if there isn't a standard taste.

That's why there are so many varieties of beer, wine, jam, ice cream, condoms, crisps etc.

There is one major improvement which would help lamb sales - some way of preventing the overpowering smell of cooking lamb which chefs say is their main objection.
Its hydrogen sulphide apparently, the lamb fat gives off more of it than the likes of beef

No better smell than a roast lamb cooking in my opinion
Sometimes....
When I was working nights on the lamb chain, cooked sheepmeat was one smell I simply couldn't handle - yet I can work in the beef slaughter and not find the smell of beef cooking offensive at all.

It got to the point we only ate mutton on Sundays as I could handle the smell after a couple of days away from "total immersion" in it.
Back to the present, I think we ate lamb 4 nights last week, so apparently I'm cured!

In a Rayburn (like my olds) or any other form of cooking.
Always look forward to my sandwichs the following day for lunch, best there is!

I don't think you got the pun, Delilah did though, you must have a hot opinion :giggle:
cooking in a rayburn you wouldn't smell much unless you went outside
