Its hydrogen sulphide apparently, the lamb fat gives off more of it than the likes of beefThere's no point in having a standard product if there isn't a standard taste.
That's why there are so many varieties of beer, wine, jam, ice cream, condoms, crisps etc.
There is one major improvement which would help lamb sales - some way of preventing the overpowering smell of cooking lamb which chefs say is their main objection.
