Can't have a dog 'cos we both work.

Working from home now-let's get a dog!

Give it to the new year and sadly many of these poor £2000 pups will be available for a £50 donation to your local rehoming charity. Ditto, when the Covid dog market dries up, there will be a surplus of pups with no buyers and some breeders will literally dump their dogs to avoid their obligations.

Folks at home with nothing to do on furlough wanting a dog ,,rescue centers were all closed and the price of pups both genuine and from unscrupulous breeders suddenly became a money making racket .
Neighbors not long bought a labradoodle after losing their goldie retriever ,he was 15 though ,£1600 .

Rather get a pup so we know what it's upbringing is like. Seems like some of the proffesional breeders have stopped just now, tried to get one from dogs Trust and because the dog wouldn't be with me or my wife every second of the day we couldn't have one. Never mind that they would be with their friend in a spacious well ventilated kennel watching over the farm yard for a few hours at a time, thats when they aren't out and about in the truck or fields with me. I want to just leave it a bit but my wife thinks the other dog has lost his 'sparkle' despite the fact that he is getting plenty of walks and he is with her or me during waking hours as she is working from home. Do dogs grieve?

And with added behavioural problems.
Mum has a JR bitch that was seized by the authorities from a windowless ‘puppy farm’ in Ashington. It’s taken 5 years for it to calm down and finally stop running in circles. There needs to be thorough enforcing of existing rules, and mega fines levied under ‘proceeds of crime’. It’s seen as easy money but safer than dealing drugs, and as such seems to attracts the lowest form of scum.
