It Could be worse you might not have a milk contract.
could well have been, but would it ? land let out on a share farming scheme, money in the bank, no more endless streams of paperwork, no hassle.............. But, as said prior, none of us know who is about, when we arn't around, but also, don't knock red tractor to much, FULL support, and backing, from them, has been greatly appreciated, also, said before, always notify the police, 1st time they 'log' it, 2nd time, they would have 'visited', if we wanted, and warn about harassment etc.

Are you able to enlighten us as to what has happened yet?

Sorted another batch of dries to bring up ready for calving , got soaked this morning. The bull awaits the return of his harem (far off group). We never bother to pen him if we are not wanting to do anything with him. Never an issue with close handing him but he just stands firmly in the way like a big lummock all the time when I'm trying to split cows off!View attachment 905456

They're only passing through this field - much too good for dries - will be taking some silage off it shortly.

Of course once we got back to the buildings, it stopped raining and was a lovely !

This batch due 12th-28th Sept but as one due on 19th calved a Sim x bull yesterday we thought we'd better get them up quick! (Brother in law, who shepherds the bottom land, didn't mention she was springing... )
Yes thats it.Thanks been a long day and with milk recording all adds to making mistakes.....
I may have some a could send you in the post, ill look tommorrow!!

a nosey bitch, with a camera, used with skill, took her 9 months to get her 'photo', visit from RT, within 24 hrs, with a follow up at 14 days, (we notified them), min vet visit, to inspect all livestock, both lots completely satisfied, RT prepared to defend us, and have done so, police supportive on 2nd 'report', and would have 'visited', and warned re harassment, TFA fully behind, as well, 1 downer cow, under treatment. By her own admission, been creeping round, for 9 months, we didn't have a clue. A very upsetting, and stressful experience, vets couldn't believe it was us, as we take welfare very seriously, ,took min vet, about 15/20 minutes, to make his mind up, they walked out to the dairy, otherwise would have been quicker. And you never know, re newspapers, tried 1, wouldn't print, after RT response. another ?
