The 18x6 were flying machines too. Uncles had a 390t 2wd 40 kmh and it would leave the 3095 40 kmh sitting still.

12x12, 18x6 is either too fast or too slow in reverse

we have a 390t low profile with 12/12 40k box, it's a flying machine.
1st high is a bit too high for setting off with a big load, but you'll struggle to get anything better for the same money... 24/24 box with power shuttle and power splitter is way better, but newer and more money.
You'll gobble clutches if you're doing any real work on one.
