Yep, your all confirming my thoughts,
Got a good land agent will have a word.
Thanks all (y)

Are you gonna let GR loose on them? ??

Yep will do, they promised to ring at lunchtime to speak to me, needless to say they haven't.
When they make contact they will have to deal with my agent at their cost. Not trying to be difficult just want all above board and have no responsibility for it.
I may suggest they try an alternative route through a neighbours field, he's a mate, but to say he's unstable is being kind, that I would pay to watch ?.

Do not let them anywhere near your land!!

We have it here and it's a proper pita when you need to do anything in the future.

It's shallow, brittle and in the way of every future development.

They should have had all the permissions in place before attempting to lay any cable so sounds a bit dodgy to me...

Anyway, I'd want serious money, an assurance it will be in deeper than the standard 300mm and in a duct plus an indemnity to cover you from future damage on your property before they set foot on your farm, in short it's a nightmare...

Is your neighbour AE ? Which is my cousin, if it is I'll come along to watch too?

Ha, small world.
Top bloke, often pop in and help him out with a mental cow or sheep, he always lets me know when my sheep are out ? even tied my fence up once.

Are you CG?? As that's who I went to school with and I know he does droving for the Exmoor livestock.
Ha no, good mate though, I've got about 4 years on you then! I'm a bout 2 miles North of him, he used to live next door, but returned home about 5 years ago, I went to wivey for school so our paths may not of crossed! was fortunate not to go brymore with you rough lot ?;)

Can you let us know how you get on? Without the nitty gritty obviously. There are plenty threads on here of people asking questions about situations that a lot of us may encounter but they always seem to be left open ended.
Update, not been back to me yet, but a neighbour has let them go across his farm, he felt obliged to help out the local village, he gave them a map of drains which the fields which they were going in (mole ploughing cable in) Basically ignored them gone through several drains some set in concrete, ploughed straight through it! Hardly any of it is to legal depths, total bunch of cowboys!!
They've downed tools for some reason and haven't got back their yet!! Could be interesting when they do! Apparently the cable is the landowners responsibility also!!:oops:
Neighbour seen no compensation or payments so far!
Be warned people!!
