Covid loans

Are you even based in the UK? You 'thought' wrong. Maybe you should actually try for yourself. It costs nothing and you could pay it back at any time in the first year at no cost to yourself. Nothing like first hand experience. Hold your hand out now and see money rushing in your direction. You can buy more nasturtium seeds to cast. Who knows, you might even get a crop.

I am UK based, and am going on what I've been told, both by my man in the stripey suit, and a few fellow peasants who've already done it.
You apparently apply, there's stuff all checks, and the money comes through in a matter of days. Easy peasy.
I am fully intending to use this cash for a specific project, if the deal goes through.
-not because I couldn't further extend my existing modest arrangements, but simply- as is being pointed out- in the immediate short term, it is free.

Jesus
In 13 months hopefully he will be open and able to start paying it back
Thats the whole idea of it
Which is great, if his business is able to make these payments within the time frame.
If he's already got liabilities, or there isn't a nice big margin to work with....and/or the economy doesn't quite come back into bloom...he's in schtuck.

I'm out glasshouse.
You're evidently a financial genius, and no doubt we'll be reading about your brilliance in the business pages directly.
Negative thinking gets you nowhere
I have taken the loan to plug a Covid hole in my cashflow which will be repaid in twelve months.
Its also replacing more expensive borrowing.

the 'LOANS' are not free money.
They will have to be paid back, and one i looked at is a 5 year job, with the first year payment free.
That means you pay everything in the other 4 years, and it's going out to a lot of folk who haven't looked at what that will mean.
Stand by for tears before bed time on a large scale.

I was chatting to my accountant today and he said the same

Lots of clients have taken them, in all business sectors
