Has anyone successfully moved a clipex fence? Wondering whether it would be feasible for rotational grass on an arable unit?
Probably have to remove the anti-lift tabs on the posts before you erect the fence for the first time.Has anyone successfully moved a clipex fence? Wondering whether it would be feasible for rotational grass on an arable unit?
I didn't think I could get much below 4/metre for a complete fence, 2 barbed and 1 plain plus 8-10 strainer kits minus a bucket of staples 'and' all the hammering, I hate that job!quick recon , would be around half that , 800m =140 i/m posts = £1120ish @£8 post , fence £1 / m £800 say £1000 , (there are gateposts in most centre of boundary hedges as strainers ) otherwise will use sleepers / tele poles (in stock) , Like for like in length £1120 for posts and £1000 for fence
Clippex special price nearly £4000! not much saving there
sort of thinking £8 is a bit overcooked in price for posts , ( i know they are good but ........) £5 or 6 maybe
edit : £6.62 for posts ex vat (could prob get away with eco posts @ £5.47 )
anyone have price for versalok posts ?

I'd have a look at 'davles' posts. Kiwi kit brought a few over. Not as long as clipex and fit standard netting with a single wire to hold the wire in. Don't think they're cheap but I think they'd work well for the temporary option.Has anyone successfully moved a clipex fence? well they pull up bit easier or at least as easy as wooden ones ime.Has anyone successfully moved a clipex fence? Wondering whether it would be feasible for rotational grass on an arable unit?
That's the exchange rate for you! How long before we reach parity with the dollar and euro?Wow! Clipex has gotten expensive!
The last lot of standards we bought were about £5/ standard post.
about time they were manufactured in uk , (obv licenced ) as the product is gaining traction , it will cost them sales long term , wont be long before someone makes a similar product and will be to late .That's the exchange rate for you! How long before we reach parity with the dollar and euro?
That's why I tried Versalok which claims to be uk made.about time they were manufactured in uk , (obv licenced ) as the product is gaining traction , it will cost them sales long term , wont be long before someone makes a similar product and will be to late .

Pallets of 14 doz. are quoted at 4.53 + v. Clips are 204.00 per thousand.any idea on standard post cost ?
which puts them bang on eco clipex price but they can be had for that in for smaller numbers as well.Pallets of 14 doz. are quoted at 4.53 + v. Clips are 204.00 per thousand.
yea i had a quick look , posts are about a fiver , but you need 3 or 4 clips per post they are 50p each , so your up near clipex more or lessI don't think you can compare clipex and versalock.
Personally I'd say clipex was stronger and more versatile/useable in different ground conditions
I make that 20p which is what I paid a few months ago.yea i had a quick look , posts are about a fiver , but you need 3 or 4 clips per post they are 50p each , so your up near clipex more or less
X fence from McVeigh is hard to beat, I’ve always found Tornado harder to work with and tie off. A few quid more a metre is nothing over the lifetime of a fence!
Certainly do. The corner posts and stays are also very like the ones I've used.just seen this on one of my french pals page , do these look like clipex
