Yes the only thing they can’t is shiney tin or steel. Can they run up the rsj diagonal supports and jump onto the top of the panel

oh yes they can,

Opened a trap door to look at Grain elevators,
Was met with an abundance of Rats coming up the near vertical handrail, which was round steel tube approx 40 mm in dia,
Admittedly store had been redundant for a while with plenty of grain lying about,

Father in laws old place he worked at they couldn't work out how the rats were getting in, no low level entry points as all had been sealed. Eventually noticed 1 with its back against the tin and walking up the outside of the downpipe to go up and in at the eaves :oops:
