We only finished our bit of harvest last Friday so a bit behind but catching up if this rain would just get moving.

Local massive place only finished Tuesday so at least we weren’t last 🤣
Got the last 70acres combined on Tuesday, (30acresbeans 40acres spring wheat) still got 50 acres of straw to bale.
Just got a start drilling on Sunday afternoon, got most of the winter barley in plus a couple of fields of wheat. So slightly further on than last year, about another 200 acres to drill

20 mm here this week so far and still raining on and off. Land conditions not too bad yet. As usual we are caught between waiting long enough for a chit of volunteers and getting on before it gets too sticky. It’s an ever decreasing tiny window of opportunity. Almost impossibly tiny which pushes me towards leaving it all till spring as standard rather than pretending it can work in the autumn and making a half arsed job of it in a rush.

Up to 40mm since last night and still raining hard. Looks like it's stuck over East Anglia.
I think we’re on the edge of it we’ve actually only had about 4mm today and 16mm total. I don’t think you would have to go Far East for it to be much wetter.
Perhaps we will get more later

I thought you had given up on winter wheat/winter cropping and were going all spring barley???
