That was at about 8.still torrential rain hereSimilar here amounts wise.
Haven't even thought about ploughing yet let alone drilling
Got the last 70acres combined on Tuesday, (30acresbeans 40acres spring wheat) still got 50 acres of straw to bale.We only finished our bit of harvest last Friday so a bit behind but catching up if this rain would just get moving.
Local massive place only finished Tuesday so at least we weren’t last
That putting your faith in the new drill? No cereals drilled here. Will start once it's dry enough,
No need to panic yet
I think we’re on the edge of it we’ve actually only had about 4mm today and 16mm total. I don’t think you would have to go Far East for it to be much wetter.Up to 40mm since last night and still raining hard. Looks like it's stuck over East Anglia.
Naff all here for a change, started banging in WW this morning, beautiful conditions, what a difference a year makes. Even looks like my late drilled OSR may make it, had a dose of fert before the rains along with the WW ground.
I thought you had given up on winter wheat/winter cropping and were going all spring barley???20 mm here this week so far and still raining on and off. Land conditions not too bad yet. As usual we are caught between waiting long enough for a chit of volunteers and getting on before it gets too sticky. It’s an ever decreasing tiny window of opportunity. Almost impossibly tiny which pushes me towards leaving it all till spring as standard rather than pretending it can work in the autumn and making a half arsed job of it in a rush.
The Dr changes like the weather....I thought you had given up on winter wheat/winter cropping and were going all spring barley???
Daily!!!The Dr changes like the weather....
TBF I change a lot but I don’t make sweeping declarations on here before I do....
