Is Plastisol coating worth the extra cost

Looking at reroofing a shed to use as a workshop with 13/3 corrugated. Is the cost of the plastisol coated sheets worth it? I know they are meant to last longer, but has anyone had any issues with water getting under the coating or the plastic starting to flake off? I know the painted finish isn't as durable but then you can keep it painted

depends, the problem can be the underside is often only a thin 5 micron paint finish and near coast or in agressive atmosphere inside shed can rot before outside. Different manufacturers may have different thicknesses, plastisol is 200 micron normally for the plastic. Need to check the spec of what you are buying

Plasisol is good but I noticed the other day that a plastisol end apex triangle which I had cut with my trusty angle grinder from 'roof length' sheets 25 years ago has had rust creep up the ends which had been cut and the tin had almost rusted away.

I’ve noticed this on the end of sheets that I haven’t cut!

The quality of plastisol sheet material is increasingly variable and difficult to determine since its coming from all corners of the globe rather than good old british steel several decades ago. Check the guarantee and its associated terms and conditions to give you an idea of its value!
I will be using fibre cement from now on....

Thanks for the replies, I'll get a bit more info from the suppliers. Sounds like it might be a good idea to cold galvanise any cut edges

Use tin snips or nibbler to cut. The cutting action of a shear/nibbler smears the cut edge with zinc from the Galv stopping the cut edge rusting. If you use a grinder it will go rusty straight away and the paint will start lift peel.
