Countryside Productivity Small Grant Scheme 2020?

Can you fill out the forms yourself when applying for this or do you have to use a professional?
Dead simple, do it yourself, you also don't need to get quotes as they pay a standard rate. Can't go ahead and spend until your application has been approved, but then, key message is make sure your purchase meets the spec EXACTLY - if in doubt, email the admins the details before purchase and get a response in writing.

Do you have too stand the initial cost then get reimburse? Just see people saying they’ve not been paid for it yet?

...and provide evidence of payment as part of claim so no fiddling it.

I fully intend too but something on it if it comes up again just wondered how it worked, bit of a pain they’ve not paid out yet then do they normally take so long too pay out? Intending on having a sheep race on the next round if it comes up but could do without them keeping hold of about 6k for 6 months wouldn’t mind it back a bit sharper [emoji28]

Definitely hassle the admins for approval about any specs in doubt.
Nearly got done over after submission as the staff had trouble interpreting the specs of my thermal camera. Luckily it had been approved by email beforehand.
Still don't know where they get their specs from.. seems completely arbitrary for most of the gear I bought

Decide what you want, get it ordered now and get a delivery date ( you need one for the form) . Once it’s delivered, photo of it on your farm, finish forms and send in. Mine was delivered early in the claim period , I filled forms the same day and I was paid in 2 weeks.

Well I tried to find products to fit the spec they wanted, they were all not cost effective IMO. I wanted GPS and ended up buying SH, perhaps its the same for livestock eqt.
Similar, somethings the spec they require adds more to the cost than the grant is worth, just depends what you want, on this last round I got a squeeze crush, a calving gate, a gps guidance box and motorised steering wheel, all things I was aiming of buying in the near future anyway, when you look at actual spend the grant probably only works out at about 20%
