Starmer demanding Boris locks down the country.

Listening to these Labour politician spokefolk this morning is just so sad. Taking potshots. And not answering the question - how much will it cost as there proposals.
The Conservatives are sitting ducks because whatever they do they cannot win and whatever they do now Labour will argue for the opposite and they will always argue that if you’d done it their way Grandad would still be here today even though Grandad is 90 in a care home suffering with dementia and an overweight diabetic. I think Starmer has been biding his time last week lockdowns BAD this week why haven’t the Government locked us all down. Well he’s a typical politician.

The correct political approach is for Johnson and the Tories to declare a state of national emergency and to bring Labour into some form of government role. That way Starmer, Rayner and Dodds will also have some blood on their hands, rather than the quite smug situation of hand wringing from the side of the room. I have considered him potentially smarmy for several years and now he is going to play that card. Hey ho.

Alternatively he could declare a national emergency denounce the Labour Party as enemies of the state lock up most of them but publicly execute the Leadership obviously this would seem a bit extreme but it might get public opinion back on track. Not because we are all in agreement but who wants to be shot.
A top secret briefing from my mate Dominic.

starmer doesn’t have to demand anything, Boris will perform yet another U turn and we will have that circuit breaker lock down HIS scientific advisors told him was needed three weeks ago. But just like the first time round, our government will inflict more long term damage to the health and the economy by letting confusion take control and failing to make a decisive decision and getting in with it. The lesson the world has had 6 months to learn, is act fast, act decisive and stick to it, the UK government are a shower of sh!t, I’m sure others are as well, but I live in the UK.

If people act like they did in Liverpool last night nothing will stop the virus , total knobheads

Huge crowds gather in city centre as pubs shut just hours

And so it starts. NI closing schools at end of this week for two weeks, which includes scheduled Halloween week. Restaurants closed again except for takeaway. Weddings and funerals reduced to 25 and no after receptions.

I agree but I also blame the government for not acting earlier in the spring, I sad it then and I maintain the belief you have one chance to get the public to “do as they are told”, indeed the public liked being told to stay home, get paid and educate the kids, but the novelty wears off and normal business resumes. So act early and hard and don’t pee about so as to risk the need to do it twice. Boris has sh!t himself in the foot, he could have had his Churchill moment, shown leadership and cemented his legacy, instead he’s proved what we all know (even if we don’t want to admit it) that he’s full of wind and pee and not fit nor capable to be an effective PM.

There were reasons the lock down didn't come too early, as you well know and to what you ironically observe.
Another cheap shot of no significance.

Oh yes , have 2 or 3 weeks off , and don't worry we'll pay you full money , ffs I thought Ricci's money tree was big .

Here's an idea why don't folk do as they're told instead of going the pi55 with their mates . .
100% correct.

Didnt take long for starmer to play politics during a national disaster, he would be the one screaming were all going to die on a sinking ship along with the main anti brexit anti uk loons on tff

Remind me? (edit) Yes I have remembered the "reasons" the lock down didnt come earlier, Boris needed to go to the Rugby at Twickers on March 7th, Cheltenham had to take place from March 9th till the 13th and we had to let 3000 Spanish fans fly to Liverpool on March 11 for the A/Madrid game - even though Madrid was already in partial lock down and no fans could attend home games. The world was waking up to the severity of the situation and Boris was on a jolly whilst the PM was at home keeping an eye on his herd immunity plans going down the swanny........

You cant expect and people wont put their lives on hold for something like this that does not affect nearly all the population even if they get it.

A 2 week ( which will end up being longer ) lockdown will be an utter disaster for the UK and wont help one iota.

If Boris backtracks and does a lockdown next week or the week after then he has lost all control and sage/ Labour are effectively running the country and the outcome of that will make the 1930's depression look like a walk in the park!

Local large NHS hospital has cancelled all operations to free up beds for virus victims, they have hundreds of beds and currently have 3 patients in the hospital with the virus! you cannot make it up if you tried, just about the only people in the city with the virus are students and they are at worst only showing mild symptons.

We all know by now all lockdowns do is buy you a bit of time. As soon as you open up again the problem is still there because people start to behave like pit ponies out from the coal mine for their month in the fields before another 11 month down t’ pit. A bit of sensible dialogue between the politicians and the people won’t go amiss.

So what constitutes a 'substantial meal'. How will PC Plod decide. And should the government be encouraging the unnecessary consumption of chips and salad cream to ensure a pasty becomes a substantial meal. I think we need our PM and more importantly Sir Kier Starmer to come out onto the TV at 7.30 pm to set the record straight, so we can live our new normal lives without fear of fines or incarceration.
