diary of a comedy sheep farm

if you've got kids 7+ old catan is an ideal family game cos you it's a collecting /trading game = less fall out potential and you can just trundle along ;)....for older players it's a good tactical game (y)......plus you have the opportunity to use the phrase ' i've got wood i need sheep'😗😁😁
Is it a Welsh game then  :scratchhead: 🐑🐑🐑🐑🌳🌳🌳🌳
Cheeky feker!!!!😉

Should that be "I've got wood but I need my sleep!" 😎

Erm, I may also be guilty of dragging the thread askew and off topic on occasion, so I shall make obeisance and seek absolution in contrition...

Nothing will stop that Adam bloke from being quite irritating though.

At great risk of antagonising Spin and aware that I may get excommunicated from this hallowed thread, I shall endeavour to reply to @delilah

Sadly, I can't claim any responsibility for the parentage of the young lady in question - the happy couple are just good friends of ours.....................................

............BUT, I am on some of their wedding photos :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: (one of my few claims to fame )..................

They needed a 'sheep wrangler' to 'fetch and carry' the livestock for the photos.
The bride, who is very passionate about our breed, is the current breed society chairman. For anybody interested in her wedding dress, there's more here....

Now, I must try and get back into @spin cycle's good books - perhaps scrolling back a few pages and retrospectively 'liking' a few posts may suffice :scratchhead:

so lets get this straight:scratchhead:....YB teases welsh about sheep abuse = 10 likeys....i tease YB about his toupee =3 likes and onna those is a  from cloddy who i thought would delight in it:scratchhead:....perhaps ppl were being polite case it were true and indeed ,having flown off, said toupee took refuge in a rabbit hole and took 3 lads wi ferrets to bolt:scratchhead:

rounds with admiral then made a little case to cover dairy tap....thats it though i'm retreating from strawbs barn woodwork wise.(y)....still got some concrete and bitta painting to do:rolleyes:....aggy roles up and takes on stable door fettlin(y)......'when i give up agronomy i want to come work for you james ' he laughs....i tell him he can but the pay is sh!te😁😁

K arrives and we sort thru housed lambs...5 for butcher freezer sales tommoz....dozen for mart on sat(y).....cept couple have touch a scald:banghead:......little lean too i call 'fat shed' ....houses 25 ish....lambs always seem to do well but this year getting trouble with scald....it's more open than others = wetter straw:scratchhead:......contemplate cleaning it out:scratchhead:.....have a move round and leave it empty for now:scratchhead:

lunch....cept just sat down and skip arrives:rolleyes:...i tell him to pop it down and i'll shift later:)....sit down again and drainage pipes for 'DLP' project arrive:banghead:.....finally sit down just in time for weather forecast....it always starts with 'they'll be more rain for scotland and northern england....' and admiral always says ' OHhh..poor buggers how do they stick it?':D

apres get forklift and start clearing up in front of grainstore(y)....cept i need to clear a bit into the skip before i can move it outta the way......by the time i decide to move the skip it's a little 'heavy'😗.....only got rear wheel steer.... fortunately back tyres just touch ground and with 4wd scrabblin i get it moved😗😁...pleased with my progress today:)

Thought I would try and be helpful rather than take the pee today so.........I would have a clean out, squirt a bit of disinfectant about and let it air off for a week or two before you restock it. Just my opinion, I dare say the professionals might give you a more educated answer!
