Coming Home For Lambing.

You said,
They were with me as the lambs went into the shed, I shut the gate and turned round and both were gone! The bitch can be bad for having a go at things so like to put her on the chain if she's not with me... whistled and called but no sign of either
So you called them and they didn't come.
You also said,
Phone call 30mins later they were down below the treeline bothering the next nearest farm with sheep
and,
if there's any knock on, I will compensate.
You supplied the facts, I did not make them up.
Your two dogs cleared on you whilst you were still working with the sheep, you hadn't driven off or gone in the house.
When you whistled and called by your own admission they didn't appear.
You did not know the whereabouts of your dogs for 30mins.
You have resigned yourself to the fact that you may have to compensate your neighbour so you must realise that there is a good chance that the dogs have caused harm to the sheep.
Look at this for what it is, if this scenario had happened to your sheep from a dog walkers dog you would be on here complaining.
Some very bad traits being shown in your dogs here, don't know if its in them or their training. If they have done this once they will do it again.
Maybe I am getting it all wrong but I wouldn't like them living next to me.

I supplied a brief summary. You jumped off the rest.

But you're right. I'll just go and shoot them both

No need for that niths, you've explained everything that's gone on, both party's have come to an amicable conclusion, sh!t happens. The other bloke was understanding enough, even gave you your dogs back, it could of been the otherway round and his dogs in yours.

Now lets keep the piece (y)

Psion charger station fooked so had an idea🤔.
Secure in the cradle as it wont fall out and can move it anywhere in the race, sould pick the tags up.
Use it on continuous scan when the sheep walk through un save time on pressing on every one. linked to weigh scale, few lambs to weigh tomorra so will see if it works or not(y)

Sounded to me like that they'd been buggered off a while (and out of earshot) before he called them, having read through the "facts". I'd have been concerned if mine had gone, but I didn't have other folk about on any ground I had that they were bonded with(although my old bitch would have gone looking for cuddles off randoms, she was very needy) - sounds like Niths does.
It's all well and good giving input on situations you weren't in, but......you weren't there.

It's going great thanks. I'm just feeding the store/fat lambs. Couldn't get the grub screws tight enough when it first came, axle kept sliding about after a couple days... Drilled into the axle to give them something to grip and sorted it (y)
