Clun forest sheep

Hello all,
Bit of a different breed really, just wanting to know has anyone has had anything to do with the breed and if so have you any photos. Also has anyone had anything to do the clun mule also if any photos would like to see them.

I had a crazy idea a few years back to put a clun across some mule ewes to keep the ewe lambs back, very milky ewes they turned out to be but man could they jump, witnessed one jump a post an rail fence from a standing start an never touched it, four rails high!! Bit crazy as well but could of just been mine!! Make a strong ewe an good mother’s but I’ve farmed mine out!!

They’re horrendously inbred and have terrible mouths. So the ideal candidate for crossing with a BFL.

Do they still run to excess fat (especially on their docks) at light weights, which is the principle reason they fell from grace?

I fail to see what they have to offer over other options available.

Their not that bad, if I go back in to sheep, I think they'll be my choice, stick a suffolk tup on them and keep the ewe lambs, a good clun is a good sheep, just like the rest good and bad in all of them, they are a bit twitchy though.

Each to there own
