Clearly you speak from a state that in the EU therefore you are to an extent blinded by the system. Let’s just wait and see how the UK economy goes over the next few years and then that will be some kind of acid test on the European integration project shall we? Cameron was ignored by the commission and the current position is in small part a result of that. Of course, it started well before that. If you are happy to be governed from Brussels good luck to you. If the EU continues on the current path, what’s the point of individual member parliaments? They will end up like devolved UK power and that’s a rip roaring success!
Completely ignoring the fact that the uk had the best deal of all the 28 . Rebate, no euro etc. Please sir , can I have some more!

the ramifications, of us leaving the EU, are slowly sinking into peoples minds, and it's little wonder they are pissy about it. There is only one place blame can be attributed to, the commission, they mocked cameron, and told him to go away.
Merkle admits that was a huge mistake. It has triggered a huge wave of nationalism, right across europe, coupled with covid, and recession, it is hard to see a way out, one of the moves that the 'money' men see, is germany dropping the euro, and huge sums of private money, is being transferred to german banks. How else can those southern states get their economies moving again ? Youth unemployment is at levels that are simply not sustainable, and that generation have to pay the taxes, that pay today workers pensions, the level of anger among mep's and indevidual states guvs, are at levels, that show boris actually got a good deal, with the commission denying it. Unfortunately that deal, may be the start of the break-up of the EU, unless the commission back pedals on their dreams of a super state, on that point, it is highly unlikely it will, their noses are so far, up their rear ends, they cannot/will not see the problems.

Are you trying to say that Brexit and the mess the UK now finds itself in is all down to the EU commission.? Funnily enough I don't remember them ever suggesting that the UK should leave.

Exchanging today’s oven ready loaf from next door bakery, for some mythical future loaf from the other side of the world. Good luck with that!
UK Japan deal turned out significantly less beneficial to UK than the deal it had through the EU Japan deal.
whether you like it, or not, the clear result of the referendum, and the last election supported the position of leave, and that is what happened. There are basically two choices for the UK, sit and moan, or make the best of it, my glass is half full, never half empty, so i look for positives, and even you will have to admit, truss has signed up a lot of new deals, willingly admit, some are only 'roll over' deals from the EU, but we were told we wouldn't be able to get them, and their are some truly massive agreements to be had, india, for example, has been negotiating with the EU for 7 years, and still no agreement, yet we are fairly close to signing one now. What many people in the UK, and any areas of europe, is the quest for more and more central government, from brussels, with loss of any national pride. Brexit is a huge disaster, for both us, and europe, but it was arrogance that caused it. But as said, we are out, and it is up to us, to succeed or fail, i would much rather create trading partnerships, with expanding, and vibrant economies, than return to europe.
The biggest threat you have, is from youth unemployment, up to 25% in some states, and brussels has no answer, it doesn't even seem to care, which is really dangerous territory for you to be in, that has been the precursor of cival war, for the last 200 years or more, not suggesting that will happen, and sincerely hope it doesn't, but that is the dangerous realms you are moving in. Germany has lent 1000 trillion euros, to member states, the chances of getting any back, is remote, it cannot continue, there has to be a resolution to the problem, the smart money is on germany ditching the euro, what happens then ? The biggest problem the EU faces, is to stop other countries leaving, if the commission follows it's usual answer of 'smoothing' problems, like the deal with poland and hungary, that just annoys other states, that do not get a 'sweetener', what happens when merkle retires soon, would you want macron as the EU figurehead, as merkle is now ? How much longer can the EU survive, in it's present form, without some radicle changes, the next german chancellor, has very different views to merkle.
Perhaps you, as very much a pro-europe person, can answer these few simple questions,
how can greece get out of it's 'basket case' economy, and repay it's debts ?
how can italy stop the deep recession it's clearly heading towards ?
how can spain reduce it's youth unemployment down from 25% ?
how can the countries that were 'baled' out, pay the money back ?
and the last one, how is germany going to retrieve the vast sums of money, it has borrowed, to lend to the poorer states, and how long before it say's enough ?
I have never suggested the road ahead would be easy, i honestly don't know, but what i do know, is the simple fact that we have to move forward, and a lot of countries are pleased to continue trading, or start trading, with us, and that is now, the only way forward.

Of course they did not want us to leave. They have spent years trying to snare us, enravel us in bureaucracy and now we have escaped the trap they do not like it. Tough luck, we will survive.

dead simple, they laughed at cameron, who was stupid enough to say, if he didn't get 'help' he would commit to an in, or out referendum. Even merkle admits that was a huge mistake, no-one in brussels, or even here, really expected a leave vote. So yes, the commission was the cause, they are politicians, they knew what cameron had promised, and were not prepared to help him, as an honourable man, he held one, the rest is history. Just because they didn't think we would leave, is no excuse. We all have to live with that.

we dont live in the dark ages anymore

You recon so after seeing the current and prior to Christmas shenanigans!!

As a result of those actions, my spending choices upon where I will spend money will obviously be looked at deeper now, and yes it will no doubt mean changes in options - but not the end of the world if you are not a brand snob.
Spend your money where it is appreciated and respected, not somewhere because we are conditioned!!

where's the answers ? or are you crying, because you can't, i don't think they are unreasonable, they reflect exactly what's happening in the EU, they certainly will have a great influence, on your future, presuming you are still inside the EU. If not, you certainly need to find some reality in your life, because for the UK, it's time to move on, for us, the EU is yesterdays news, we need to find tomorrows news.
