If I'm doing a new fence I go for the standards but I find I am actually using a lot more eco posts as I am forever life extending conventional wood post fences replacing individual wood with steel. Bit of gloom and despondency when I find I've mixed the 2 up! I spray paint the pointed ends of the ecos when they arrive to try and make it easier to tell them apart
Yes we sometimes have the odd one get in the wrong pack. We also re-post fences with eco posts, not my favourite job as it’s hard to make a good job

As you are a contractor you need to make a visually satisfying job.
As the landowner I can cobble anything that is good enough.;)

Yes that’s the problem and with our labour it can soon add up if we are replacing strainers and pulling wire again, then it can cost near as much as a new fence and it’s a horrible repaired fence with poor wire
