Mob size is not the issue, as others have said, we are lambing NZRomneys, 4 twins to the acre and 6 /7 singles seems ok without too much mismothering as they progress.. Definitely some fields batter than others.
If the sun is shining and weather kind ..... if if if šŸ„µšŸ„µ
Do you know what I lost more hill singles last spring in that nice weather than in a long time its once a day job normally but last year it was twice they were giving up quicker just that little bit of grass making the lambs that bit bigger

Around 8 per acre, singles or pairs all in 2 separate lots moved to next field after lambing. Dykes, hollows, rocks, hedges and whins and most lamb on top of 2 knowes at far end of the fields.
I think they choose a higher spot to check for predators and usually with a dyke a few feet away which makes them safer from at least one direction.

i run all my single together then all twins together, same with tripplet and mix them with twin hogs.

prob around 200 twins on 20 acres? they separate off from flock to lamb (lots of walls around 4 fields) etc as soon as they lamb/are licked off they get moved out to saved pasture hopefully with nice fresh long grass!! depending on the year!!

makes it much easier to drive round and check them.
