ICI dumpy bags
I assume that many of you will remember the ICI dumpy bags but do any of you have a copy of the sales literature for them? My late dad was featured in them and it would be nice to get hold of a copy.thefarmingforum.co.uk
That's the ones!
That’s impressive. I once had a wheel rim blow (rusted) on matbro with 4 600s on that fright me enoughThey’re a 4t Albutt set. Genuinely no hassle.
A 320 will lift an awful lot more than 3.2t in the upper 1/2- 3/4of lift height. The ton bags are tall so that’s exactly where it’s lifting.
your lookin a bit porky there or it is just the camera angleStill have my old ICI Dumpy ties here

I could have sworn that the 500’s fit 3 wide on a lorry with no spare room and that when they moved to 600’s the bags are the same dimensions at the base, just taller. We always loaded them 4 wide, whether on pallets or as top lifts. Maybe where yours were loaded they lifted 6 at the time. 3 wide would spread the weight better because with 4 wide there's space front and back.
I remember the Yara poster about getting more weight onto lorries but could never understand it because whatever I was driving, rigid, rigid and drag or unit with various length trailers I always hit the weight limit before the floor was full.

i shall just use less.
especially now that MF s the way to go and thats way lighter
Our 500s definitely go 4 across. Suppose different plants could use different size bags.I could have sworn that the 500’s fit 3 wide on a lorry with no spare room and that when they moved to 600’s the bags are the same dimensions at the base, just taller.
lol. shouldve said it was camera angleUnlike my father when he was my age i wouldn't be able to get in my wedding suit now ....... let's call it contentment
It’s one thing lifting them....but how will spreader sizes work? Most are now designed for a “standard” 600kg bag.
