why are you cross ploughing i find going at 35 to 45 degree angle on our potato ground works and not as bumpy
Its not exactly 90 deg. Just picked one fence to go off to try and get the worst (wettest) bit done first. 45deg would have meant more turning on bad endrigs. The root of frost is making it worse and I was try a gear faster than yesterday (yesterday I left my 15 year old nephew to it).

Just after eight this morning near Evesham I see a class combine. Harvesting maize in the snow and -4 .
getting his money‘s worth out of that machine if he’d start combining in July and still at it now.
A bit off topic but our Ford 7610, here since about 89 was A863-TOO. Nr. plate labelled Coulters of Evesham. Whenever I hear of Evesham it comes to mind. Ford 7710 no longer here had a label from Croft & Blackburn, Rippon. B85 PHO. Strange the way some little details stay with you.

Coulters of Evesham, thats a blast from the past, also Avon Valley tractors up by the station for MF.
