The "I`ve got it" thread...

I’m thinking covid has been the ultimate story to bury any bad brexit news 🙄

I think if I buried the mrs in the garden the police would be round to dig her up? Just a thought

I’ve been on a motorway twice in last year and that was only A1 in Yorkshire. Getting tedious but what can you do?

Pickup oil level was on bottom of stick and local garage said it’s only 1500 miles off service. I said doing 17 miles a month might be a while. Being a d-max of the sort that generally increased sump oil levels with diesel, mine seems to not have that silly habit - maybe I’ve been lucky again!

I imagine road deaths and injuries will be down as the roads are quiet around here. I would imagine if you had a crash and say broke your leg. Ambulance rocks up and you’ve ordered a taxi for home. But you’ve got a broken leg? Yer but other leg is fine and don’t fancy loitering in a covid infested A&E 😯
Home burials are perfectly legal. Obviously burying your wife in the garden without a death certificate would be wrong as would burying her in the garden without her being dead.

Buried the old chap today , non covid , anyway what was stark was the huge amount of new headstones , quite sobering .

That does bring it home. Wife’s sister died of it last April and the only good thing was she went fast and never had to suffer in hospital. Anyhoo the mrs opted for a straight to Crem and we’ll have a do when they’ve rung the last all clear. Fella in car turned up with her ashes suddenly one morning. Whole job is a sh!t show and is going to take some getting on top of. We will get past it and back to something like normal.

Try telling that to a 7 yo is not easy but they are only reacting to the state of mind of adults around them. The family unit, old fashioned jargon for a cohesive supportive unit, is the key. Where this does not exist there is a problem.

My 7 year old granddaughter, soon to be 8, just asked my daughter, « will coronovirus still be here when I’m 9? »😕

Burying her without being dead would be a tad tricky

I never realised home burials was allowed. I’m not so keen personally and would defo involved a mini digger. I always hate it when a dog or cat dies and the mrs wants a funeral. Chopping a hole deep enough through stone or rock hard clay deep enough that a badger doesn’t dig it up is a right pain.

A near neighbour gets local digger for hire fella in when one of his dog dies. Certainly sharpens the dogs up when he appears to dig some drains!
