You must be special! I have to.
Why didn't you just buy it from them if your buying in seed anyway? The reason for buying their seed is for traceability. As I buy from nickersons (limagrain) I pointed all theirs is traceable too,
Theft?Cheaper! And I have dealt with my seed supplier for decades. Try to stay loyal as much as possible. Not much of it theft in the world
Have you not had the quote yet??Theft?
There nae not that dear are they.
That's a good point with regards the price. I could get seed cheaper elsewhere also.Grain merchants, Theft , Do those words ever enter the same sentence?

Whats "Rubbish",Rubbish, loads of people will be growing malting barley around the country and will have home-saved the seed.
How are people finding germination? Checked our laureate and Diablo and both were 90%. Have bought some Sassy seed and will be checking that when it gets home. Here the seed companies are struggling.
I think what he's trying to say by traceability is varietal purity. That was what I was told was reason for them wanting to supply seed.Rubbish, loads of people will be growing malting barley around the country and will have home-saved the seed.

Can't get more traceable than this! Never left the farm it will be planted on again. They want to supply the seed because there is obviously a chance to make margin from it which is fair enough, but to suggest other sources of seed are unreliable is absolute pish given the hurdles that many seed producers and processers have to jump though.
