MX Loader headstock Geometry

I have an MX80 loader with a MX headstock and have come across a euro headstock from a newer MX loader being scrapped. I know the pins on the newer loader and 5mm bigger but that could be got around with a sleeve.
I was talking to a MX dealer and he says the geometry isn't right and you will end up bending the rams if you put the newer headstock on the older loader.
Is this correct, what if you put one of them spurious headstocks on, I know the distance between the hole in the bottom of the headstock and the top were the ram connects is the same on the older and newer ones.

Am I missing something obvious, is it possible to bend the rams?

Why change from the MX system. The MX system is far better than the euro system. I've used euro on other people's loaders, not handy compared to MX. can't believe it's so popular, and such small locking pins, I've seen attachments locked on loaders as the pins have bent , and have to be cut out.

Someone put the wrong geometry headstock on an old loader on a courtesy tractor to get us mobile. It snapped the Welds on the self levelling rods! Dangerous!

We swapped Quickie headstock from 2012 to 2019 model.
I rang Quickie UK to be 100% sure. JIC dealer hadn't.

I would ring MX direct.

I agree the quicke euro brackets aren't very well engineered, but there are an awful lot more attachments for sale on euro if you're not buying new

Yea they picked a shite headstock to standardise really I can think of loads better ones even the old grays Lyncon loader we had was a better setup with two hooks and a 30mm locking pin

The stops welded to the headstock could be different? Unlikely tho I’ve got a mx t12 I can measure if you want?
I think the stops are different, the bottom bar that the bucket sits against on mine, when it is fully open it curls right round and hits the base of the frame of the loader, on the newer headstock like yours the bar is further out and probably hit the frame at a different place it shouldn't.

The vast majority of used attachments for sale is Euro and if you need the lend of one it's what most people have.
