Absolutely i spent last few weeks in one of my different ponds , maintenance, one day ice was honestly 50 , 60 mm thick
So much milder this week possibly spring may come eh 😅 ;) (y)

I will.

I’m a bit happier now I’ve decided to let it slide a while. There was no way I could get it done for spring (unless it keeps on raining for a few more weeks!!) so I’ve got the Big A all ready to go. I’m more relaxed about things now.

Trouble is, I need time to get the Zetros finished but I don’t want time at home, I want to be busy!

Autumn 2019 was wet early, same with autumn 2020, spring in between them wasn’t much better with covid closing my main quarry.

Hopefully it’ll turn around but with very little grain in stores I’m not getting too excited about

Stick with it pedro ,in a wee while the the light will come on and you willl have two fab machines

Cheers.

Don’t worry, I’m not having bad thoughts!!!

The worst thing is I just can’t get on with it. There seems to be something every day to hold me up. I’ve just come down the sheep, yet another ewe off her food for no apparent reason. Back home, get her a mixture of kill or cure, back here again. Before I know it the time is 11.30.

it’s the wet weather that’s the worst. Sheep always fair better when it’s bone dry and there’s hardly any grass instead of shommocking about in the wet for beet and hay.

Whdn I eventually got to start yesterday my cordless drill wouldn’t work. No apparent reason, just wouldn’t work. Put the other battery on, no good. Faff about, eventually put the first battery back on, worked a treat and has been no bother. Another half hour gone.

Another day I had to strip the welder down. Earth wire had burnt out just inside the cover. Couldn’t be just outside the cover. Hour and a half before I got going. Then I noticed the gas was about to run out.....

Life I suppose. I could always go and get a proper job. Mind you, like my friend Rich says, we’re probably unemployable.

Dont loose faith Pete, I have watched this and your previous threads with nothing but admiration. I can totally relate to not having a nice workshop to ease things. Keep going your doing a brilliant job, I've found sometimes having a break off big projects helps speed the job up in the long term.

Keep the Warwickshire Bear spirit going, far too easy to post and chat about things that go well, but takes guts to share the bad experiences alongside the good for us all to see. This second long wet end and start to the year isn’t helping anyone’s mood at the moment. Best thing about this thread is that we all feel we’re in it with you, working alongside, even though we’re only viewers. Everyone loves a trier. Keep the faith. (y)

Plus......we don’t want a similar thread to the dead horse removal one ;)

Don’t want to drag us down with sheep, but it might be worth getting some rested for MV, we’ve tested most of the flock and found a lot have it and so they need to go. In wales farming connect fund the testing.

Come on @Cab-over Pete pull your finger out, that's a boys job before breakfast! 😂 😂 😂 😂

Seriously hang in there it might feel monotonous now but one day it will all click together.

On a plus note my boy loves engineering and tinkering with bits of engines and whatnots and is regularly asking for updates, so do me a favour even if you just tighten a 19mm bolt take a picture for me, it will keep Junior quiet for a half hour!

Ok. Got a bit done today. Bit of help from my lad on the Loadall and everything seemed to go reasonably well.
