Just the man!

ive got one of these and the rubber has gone off the arrowed button. The peg that just pokes out can be operated but not easily with your thumb and we have lost the metal spring plate that goes between the button and the rubber.

can you advise any replacement button without spending a grand and a bit?

David King can now source these, I got some from him earlier in the year, including a spare thats tucked up in my desk draw 😎

Bonza! I've got some of those....... they fit the controller for the lucasG bedder.

not sure they will work unless of course they are the same type. The grey JCB switches have some sort of electrical circuit in the button, its not a standard NO/NC type button switch.

If memory serves me right, I think they also have 4 wires into the switch, but I cant remember to be 100% sure. Ill check the spare in my draw on Monday, but its certainly not a 2 wire switch

Hi,

I m sorry for my english language because i m a french.

I would like change push button for a joystick but i agree with H200GT is switch with a phototransistor. There is 4 wires black and red for the supply and white blue for control.

So is not possible to change by switch push button classical.

I have search in the web there are not find a same button.

I think is technology JCB.

How a procured a new button or are you an idea change by a similar ?

Best regards

I am working in electronics.

maybe do some testing. You might find that only two wires are being used on the switch.

Are you positive that this is not a illuminated button and that is why you have 4 wires instead of 2?

On the joystick of the later JCB loadalls - the buttons are not illuminated no- they are proximity switches , no actual contact.

I do not think this is accurate. What chassisgc posted is not a proximity switch. These are IX series switches from Apem.
The 4 wire switch appears to be a No/NC switch. meaning that it has a normally closed switch and a normally open switch in the same casing, preventing accidental button presses as the computer will require the normally closed switch to open before the the normally open switch gets closed. Pretty simple circuit that prevents sticky buttons, accidental presses, etc.

On the jcb joystick the push button are very special, 2 wire (red and black are power supply) 2 wire ( white and blue are command) the push button use a phototransistor technology no simple mecanichal contact.
I have buy 3 push button with david king and i have replace 2 push button i m very happy for your help and david are very good person.
