Getting new seed pipes onto Accord tramliners

We are repurposing an Accord seed hopper but struggling to get the new pipes onto the tramliners. The outlets are much bigger than the ones on the distribution head. We have tried the usual tricks of hot air gun and boiling water. Our best effort has split the pipe. Anyone got the know how?

I bought a tool from Andrew guest, you heat the pipe and it expands it,think I’ve still got the tool in the shed somewhere if you want it I could post it as it’s no use to me now.

Michael,

Could you not super glue a larger diameter short piece of pipe to the seed hose then just clamp it normally?

Would be possible to plastic weld them together possibly instead.

We did have a pair of accord tramliner units around a while ago, will have a look in case they are different?

Use a tool from Andy Guest.
Basically it is a round piece of solid bar cut horizontally in half. One half has a hole drilled about 3 inch from the end with a nut welded on out side with a bolt in it. Push bar up end of flexi pipe and wind bolt in to force apart 2 pieces of bar which stretches pipe. If you over do it it will split pipe though.

There's sleeves that join then iirc
Quite a few Accords have passed through our hands over the years, I seem to think I have seen rubber tube joints somewhere on some of them? The DA this hopper was on just had the pipes pushed onto the tramliners, those pipes may get resurrected!
