All the people I know that have had side effects have also had the flu jab ..... they do ask you if you've had the flu jab when you check in .
Most of the people who have had the Covid jab so far would be in the category (carer, age or illness related) that is offered a free flu jab every year.

I wasn't asked about the flu jab - which I have had. Only a slightly sore arm and felt a bit peaky for a few hours after my Pfizer.

I wasn't asked about the flu jab, but was asked if I was pregnant. As I'm aged 56 and male I confidently replied no

I don`t think there was any problem following a flu jab at the normal time in October/ November but they were advising at least a four week gap between the two.

Form a charity for donors to pay for the decorating!
Boris was sacked from 2 newspapers, matter of public record.
The Prime Minister faced further trouble last night over claims that Whitehall ethics chiefs have refused to approve his secret bid to help raise funds for the makeover by setting up a 'Downing Street charity
What the hell has this got to do with asking people if they have had a covid jab ?

Mmm there are def side effects which sound worse than my experience of virus.
Good Friend of my agronomist ended up in papworth having a stent fitted within 24hours of having vaccine.
Everyone got to assess their own risk and how they feel about it, I guess.
If I was 85 , hadn't already had virus and wanted to marginally increase my chances of living longer, I might consider the vaccine.
However, only in autumn as will be May before immunity kicks in now, so a bit of a wasted couple of days of feeling sh!t.
If you think the side effects of the vaccine are bad just imagine what the outcome would have been if you were infected with the real thing!

Did you speak to your GP at the time. If your reactions were that severe it maybe possible to be antibody tested at intervals, rather than risk having the second dose. Although you need to bare in mind the criteria for any vaccine passport maybe two doses and in any event the antibody levels may fall away quickly after 12 weeks without the second dose.:scratchhead:

Had it on the Tues at noon
Fine for first 36 hours
3am Thursday woke up with a fever and bad headache - maybe a bit delirious too
Vomiting through the day
Glands up and a swollen lump on my scalp
Spoke to docs at 4pm and my GP rang me at 6pm and I went through my symptoms
Hard to do over phone
If I got worse he said ring 999
Fortunately that evening it subsided a bit and I could water and have dry toast
Friday ok, but felt washed out
Swelling on scalp went down a bit, but tender like shingles
Sat ok
Sun ok
Rang docs on Monday am and wanted an examination for head - just got a telephone appointment with another GP (she had had 3 days in bed with AZ, she admitted)
Head not gone down on Tuesday so insisted on a proper in person appointment
Saw my GP on Tuesday afternoon and he couldn’t offer an explanation and said the AZ could maybe cause some shingles type reaction perhaps
Better now but not 100% brilliant
Wife (a nurse) has suggested maybe an antibody test at 10-12 weeks and perhaps have Pfizer next (if licensed to mix and match vaccines by then under general approval)

I think the main problem I had was that the blooming vaccinator jabbed me in the wrong place (back of arm & subcutaneous into ‘bingo wings’ area) and not into the deltoid muscle
Blooming woman got distracted and stuck it into the wrong place and I ended up with a massive colourful bruise from my elbow to my shoulder cap

Wife (a nurse who has injected 1000’s) thinks subcutaneous has led to a slower release of vaccine and it didn’t get fully mobilised quickly enough & slow release

So you've got nothing criminal to report, surprise, surprise... and nothing regarding the vaccine...

The process adenovirus vaccine manufacture is over 30 years old and as you say is well understood. However, it is biological process that is difficult to replicate reliably as has been shown with the variation in efficacy between manufacturing plants and even batches. This has undoubtedly caused some the variability in the trial results as has the poor construction of the phase 3 trial. Boris took a risk, particularly with the one dose concept and atm it looks to have paid off. But we will have await the FDA rerun of the botched phase 3 trial and from the mass of real-time data being gathered by the NHS for a better picture.
Just look at the modelling and comparatives; there was no greater risk than with other similar vaccines, If there had been one of you would be posting it.
