Not quite as bad as a local farm, had most of the FWs from the 1960s onwards , stacked to the ceiling in what would have been their dining room!

Interesting one this.

You see no end of advert in the back of Private Eye offering every issue from such and such a date. And my old man has hundreds of National Geographic copies but I question who really wants them now in this digital age.

And yes, I do know that old Marvel comics sell for hundreds of pounds

I did find a home recently for between 150/200 arable farming magasines from mid 70s.the big tractor farmers reports often make an appearance on face book posted by the recipient of the mags.

And who remembers Big Farm Management which was free if you were a big farmer, weren't we all. Came with a card in the back and if you highlighted different machinery ads as of a special interest you were sent tractor or machinery literature for the next month, waiting on the postman or rushing home from school to see what came in the post, those were the days my friends,I thought they'd never end

Recently watched the Netflix series"white house farm" set in 1985 ish,on the floor at the murder seen was a copy of "power farming"
The OH started watching that on Netflix on Wednesday not realising that I could remember it happening,I sat down and started watching and we both got so hooked watched all 6 episodes on the bounce into the early hours, had it been fiction I would of had no interest at all but it was fantastic viewing

Well I have a rather large porn stash since when I was in school in the early 1980’s - what do I do with it - loath to burn them or recycle them - eBay perhaps. Got some special edition Perfect 10 mags in there too 💦

We used to have great fun with those - sending the cards back with spurious names but real addresses of our friends, one of my mates was amazed when a rep (remember those?) came round the corner and enquired "are you Mr Mole?" to my friend whose name is definitely not Mr Mole.

Chuck them in a hedge somewhere, there has been a shortage of those for the local wildlife to read for some years.

I think that there is some sort of law about that now.

Our local hydraulic shop used to issue a calendar to account holders - you had to specify 'Office' or 'Workshop' One showed country scenes, the other didn't.
