Rear mounted LED Strobes

I was coming back from Penzance this afternoon and sat on the A30 for an hour stationary waiting for air ambulances to land and retrieve accident victims, a car had run into the back of tractor and slurry tanker heading westbound. I can only say that I think it is time strobes fitted to the rear of slow moving trailed agricultural equipment are made mandatory when using these main roads, I find them invaluable as a lorry driver to alert me to the presence of an agricultural vehicle ahead, especially dual carriageways and the need to start heightened thinking. I do not think that an amber beacon on the side of a tractor cab is fit for purpose.

We need a different colour, a bit like site machines have green beacons to show the driver has their seatbelt on. In fact thinking about it, green would be the best colour. Does anyone know if this would be legal?

Nothing wrong with orange

The issue is who uses them and when.

Refuse collectors have them on when they come here 2 miles from the village for 3 stops.
