We have 2 roaned cows lim bull out of blue cross lim cows. Photos tomorrow

My one white BBx cow always throws a dark roan too my red limmy bull.

Use something with shorthorn blood and you've the best chance. IIRC in the early post war years BB tried to fix blue roan as part of the 'type', but soon realised they couldn't, so bred for something worth breeding, rather than something pretty.

My uncle bought a white bull one year to breed more roan calves. Ended up all white, or white with little roan
