Well I didn’t buy the tractor my boss did... but he just laughed when he told me he’d had somebody from massey Ferguson on the phone complaining about it we had quite a good laugh about it all day to be fair... they apparently want me sacked [emoji23][emoji23]

So I’m told the key is being moved too a new location but the mod won’t be on models until later in the year
Sacked?!

what planet do these people live on?

Sue Agco for constructive dismissal. 🤣

Some of the people, not all, in big companies, have a vastly inflated idea of their self importance. I had a similar issue years ago when working for a dealer when I mentioned the worse tractor ever made. One that was made before these people were born. Yet these two oiks had the nerve to send a letter to my boss threatening to remove the franchise if I did it again. Where are these tools now? One, the UK sales manager, was sacked and the other sly one who reported my identity also left the company and is nowhere. It does them no good when they do this kind of thing. It shows a complete lack of understanding of how media works and of public relations generally.

What they should do is have a nice person engaging with media such as this and learning of any issues and thanking people for pointing it out and acknowledging, where appropriate that they are on the ball and sorting it out ASAP. Supporting their customers and drivers, not threatening them.

Don’t think that this is isolated to one brand. It seems to be a more general people skills issue that is part of human nature. Some just get really big heads and have poor people skills. Only a minority but it tends to go hand in hand with pushy management types. So don’t go against the brand and its products just because one has made a complete arse of himself.

Is this unique to the agricultural machinery makers ? Here we have MF apparently getting huffy and JD going back on a demo of the X9 for fear of what might be said...
Simple fact is that if you buy and own or run a tractor or combine or car or whatever, if you have anything to report, good or bad, you are perfectly entitled to do so.
I am a proud Massey man from the past yet if they put a machine on a farm that's paid for by the customer then they deserve what they get if they have a poor design ( Key location ) or some issues that they maybe should have sorted prior to launch.
They cannot gag buyers especially in this social media mad world.
I have first hand experience of what I believed to be the bad old days at Massey and hoped they had moved on..

It is certainly not a particular 'brand thing' and neither is it confined to agricultural machinery. It is a 'people thing'. Some people everywhere that get into a position of authority like to throw their weight around. In some companies this is perhaps seen as a strength, but it shouldn't be. These particular people are just socially inept and certainly inept when it comes to customer services and interaction. It gets complicated by internal politics and the pressures that seem like 'survival of the fittest' or 'dog eat dog' in many big companies where performance and employment prospects are measured by spreadsheets rather than real life interactions.

Since it is a people thing, in my opinion, it pervades through all companies everywhere. Get good people with good people skills and everyone is happy. Get an arsehole and he/she loses customer loyalty left right and centre and undermines the work of the majority of good guys that are there to help and get things done quietly and efficiently.

Let's not forget that people also make mistakes, many that they regret and, hopefully, learn from. Maybe this is one of those instances, depending on the 'people'? Or perhaps a comment has been misinterpreted along the line? As good people we should afford them some slack unless there is no doubt about it.

Oh ok, well social media works both ways so maybe we should all contact someone high up in AGCO and demand to have this jumped up muppet sacked for throwing their toys out of the cot for no reason?
They are clearly damaging MF's reputation by being so petty, best if the mothership just gets rid of them. (y) :sneaky:

Got an 8s225 on demo at the moment, not the biggest fan of the dyna 7 as I’m a dyna vt driver. But in auto mode in the field it’s ok, big spacious cab, visibility is great and comfortable to drive, data 5 is good and lovely fixed to the arm rest and I’m used to operating it as I have one in my 7719s this one has more things on it though like Heater controls, lights set up and linkage controls ( draft, speed of drop, height etc) dash screen on the pillar is very informative but takes some getting used tooDown points are....
key and light switch positions, cup holder is in a silly place, data 5 screen hits the window rail when the seat is turned fully, not keen on the position of the hitch release lever, doors are huge and might be interesting in strong winds! alot of pipe work and tanks unprotected inside of the wheels which won’t be good covered in mud. it is nice but they could’ve made the cab so much better inside. It’s also huge, I’m 6’4 and the mud guards are higher than me

Yeap, linkage up/down and hitch in/out on the same lever, you need to lift the linkage pull the handle then drop linkage to release the hitch, been told that the bill bennet uniglide hitch will be available soon , I’ve got one on my 7719s and it’s amazing!

I sat in 1 at the dealers and 1 of the first things i noticed was the buttons on the hitch lever, thought thats brill why didnt they think of that years ago. Such a simple improvment that will make a big difference when hitchin up

But...... wouldn’t it be better if it was a little bit higher up so you didn’t have too break your back reaching over the seat for it [emoji86][emoji86]

Only looked at it so never noticed that but still has to be better than out 64 and 54 which i have to turn right round to reach the switch with my left hand while the right pulls the hitch handle, what sorta numpty designed that

I have order a 8S.225 (around 20/3 i get it) i switch in my 7620 Dyna VT EX(2015 - 2950h) and I pay in the zone of 50-55K€. I have had a 8S.265 on demo (the only model my dealer have) and we have MF since 3 generation, and this new one i think is the best theme have ever made. I really like the 3000 serien that was something no one had made at that time, but this one are something i never think i should experience.
Why change a tractor in with less than 3000hr for 55k to change?
