Probably not legal, I don't know how thick it goes on, but could drip everywhere I would imagine

Agreed chainsaw chain oil is sticky stuffI contacted one of my dog training pals in Finland for advice and was told waste oil with 50% chain saw oil (the latter is sticky) put on with the compressor. Soaks in to any rust rather than trapping in water.
I have a 93 suzuki and the chassis is spotless too. 28 years old.OH traded her Jimny in a few years ago, though 15 years old there wasn't any rust on the painted chassis. After a powerwash and a polish it looked virtually new unlike the Discovery 1 of about the same age parked next to it, that had rust on every panel including the roof.
The only part of it that is spotlessthe chassis is spotless too. View attachment 950677
Guy up the road from me takes your truck, takes wheels off and puts it up on stands. Shot blast chassis, sprays a rust inhibitor, repaint, and complete waxoil underneath about 500quid. All the land rover men go to him, 3month waiting list.
