I have been offered a 1998 6.0 m folding Moore disc Unidrill that looks in fair order. It has accord hopper and hydraulic fan. Has anyone any experience with this set up. The only thing I can see looking at it is that it might need some weight carrying brackets added to get good penetration? We have been dd for 4 years with a tine Claydon but think a disc would bring less stones up , no doubt some years tines will still be better but this would be a cheap entry to try it out.

Is that the model without a press wheel in front on the discs?

My experience of the 3m box unidrill is they can benefit from a bit more weight at times, but the main cause of a lack of penetration at times is putting the 18" discs, for a heavier tandem unidrills, on a drill designed for 16" discs.

I made that mistake when I got mine and found it much better once the discs had with down to about 16"
