Claas Challenger

I'd stick with genuine cat filters for the fuel filters anyway. To many injector failures due to poor fuel filtration.
I am not disputing what you say but it's been said here many times that manufacturers have to buy their filters from somewhere then the end user pays for the privilege of having manufacturers name on filter

It's the spec of the filter what counts as in the micron rating. It's easy to get a filter that screws on . I have no problems with a fitting a quality filter like Donaldson once the correct micron rating is used. It's all in the spec. That's why I say it's just easier to use genuine as they will be correct for application.

I always fit genuine cat / challenger filters. Same reason mentioned above. I have a cat /claas combine and same there. Cat filters but in this area five other combines were running short on power to the extent the dealer couldn’t explain why. Turned out cat had changed the micron level on the filter paper and reduced the flow once they had been used for a few hours. Still use genuine to protect the fuel system. Cheap insurance.

Err ??

local dealer ?

or any Fleetguard / Donaldson etc dealer ?

why are there always threads on TFF about where to buy filters / oils / boots / work clothes etc etc ?
Don’t you have local shops that sell these things ? 🤷‍♂️

If you don’t like or are not interested in the thread go and look at a different thread!
If people didn’t ask questions about various topics forums such as this wouldn’t exist.
