These were the headlining couples at exeter today under sad circumstances , good to see zwartbles and zwartbles x beltex ewes helping deliver the goods , all averaged £200 a life , thanks to Jethero Kimber the post is on his profile (tried to post a direct link to vid but wouldt allow me )

I took a few pure Hampshire lambs in to Farmers Fresh two weeks ago.
U3L and u3H grades made 6.40 and 6.55
18-22kg carcasses, best one made £144

Took a few more yesterday
E3H U3H and U3L 18.5 to 22 kg carcass
6.80 and 6.95 best one made £146.

All pure Hamps except two Hampshire x Dorset, all born January 3-11

Oh, and beautiful with it too. It breaks my heart to take them in.

He would have been so proud

It was an utter privilege ( abeit under very sad circumstances ) to be able to see sheep with such tremendous strength/depth of breeding being sold today, the lambs/ewes were absolutely top drawer and you would be hard pressed to find a line of ewes/ lambs at any county/one day show in the country anywhere near as strong as what were sold today!

Top was £500 for a single another double at £500, then £480/420/400 and so it went on.

Russell asked buyers to do the best they could not only for the poor chap who passed away but also his family and dig deep they certainly did without any hesitation.

Next week will see the empty ewes ( lambs already sold ) ewe lambs and rams sold from this most genuine dispersal sale, if you want to buy the very top drawer sheep in genuine circumstances then you really need to get to Exeter next Friday.
