Jd 6000 series and 10 series

This is one of my 2 6210s. Bought in 2012 with 1300hrs. Just had its 21st birthday. I much prefer the se models, simple and fiercely reliable. Now with 4100hrs
The only thing we did to both 6210 was replace the poor quality jd exhaust with an enameled exhaust from a 300 series mf eg 390t

We have a 6400, best tractor made
We had a 6400 on demo about 25 years ago and myself and the other farm worker fell in love with it straight away. Sadly Dad was in charge then and came up with lots of excuses not to buy it. He didn't say it was too expensive though. He bought a case 4240 in the end. I was not sorry to see that go when I took over. I bet if we had bought the 6400 it would still be on the farm. The 2650 still is.

I had a 6400 with loader for 12 or so years, bought it with over 10k hours and it was very abused, but very affordable and a big step up from the jd 2030 2wd with loader.
Only big thing was a headgasket. In the end the transmission got very slippy in certain gears, broke one of the loaderbeams almost in half and she was just "done". Still got €11k for it, best tractor we had.

When you consider the 6000 series was built from scratch not a rejig of an older tractor, they really were a success.
The only other tractor that had the wooh factor for me was the launch of the 3000 mf series back in 1988
Well the 40 series was fairly new.
The Case 51 series...... Hang on perhaps it was a Davy Broon?
