Can you see any prices on it or do you have to put an amount up for sale and only see what people bid on it.

there is pricing data on there - both estimated exfarm values by county/area and historic trades but I think you have to be registered to view these! Exact values - I think you have to create an advert/offer some tonnage, bids come in but you don’t have to accept one if you don’t want to. My Neighbour used to do it just to make sure the big F wasn’t taking the p**s. They no longer trade with the big F... 🤣

Is Graindex evolving into a major market player?
I had a call from a very knowledgeable rep today, which led me to have a dig around.
Is the site owned by the Yellow Peril?
No owned by Hectare a private equity fund. They also own sell my livestock and a few other data analysis things as well.

Graindex looks a good transparent company to deal through, then it gets tied up with a Farmers weekly and spoils it. We all know how some articles get published and some articles against a major advertiser don’t.

I've done some over the last 2 seasons with good results. The frustrating part is local buyers will then match the price rather than bid..
But it's still win win I suppose.
but surely that just shows youve been shaf--- for years anyone who offers a price and then when told sorry you arnt there and then offers more never gets the deal here, and is very unlikely to get another chance if it continues. Sales or purchases first price best price is our trading policy and surprise surprise we havnt sold to a multinational for years mindst you ive been short of emblazoned hats body warmers junkets and noroso points

I've said it before and have no loyalty to graindex but whats not to like? The worst case is you get the same price as you would of got from your merchant anyway. Quite often a better bid from someone we wouldn't of normally dealt with will beat it sometimes by quite a margin.
