The biggest issue I have with glyphosate in a wiper is transfer to grass by the wheels. A grass safe herbicide would avoid this risk.
New toy envy is high
Now obviously nobody would admit to using weed killers through a wiper, unless it was on the label, but there must be an awful lot of anecdotal evidence of others such products effectively, and at what strengths...
Without anyone recommending such use, which selective products have anyone heard of being used through a wiper, to kill nettles for example? I’ve always found glyphosate just burns the tops of those, even at a full 6L/ha rate, with rainwater and wetter.
I’m willing to bet that new toy is considerably dearer than your new toy, unless it’s hired in of course.
Yours looks a very tidy job.

They are classed as a boom sprayer
PA1 & PA2A
I was told they weren’t. I have PA1 2 and 6 and apparently there is a module that needs to be done in addition to PA2 tookeep right!

I wonder if it makes a difference which model of weed wiper it is? The Logic and the Chapman are basically boom sprayers, spraying onto a roller inside a hood....
Just go do it there’s no training now not till next year really with covid. Its a Logic I have and they said I needed a seperate ticket! Bloody madness

They were OK with PA1 and PA2, as that was what I had decades ago... As I have said here, WTF it needs another ticket, is mad.
How many decades ago? I did my tests at college, when they first came in (1988!). Being able to use a 6m trailed boom sprayer behind a quad bike qualified me to do everything then.
It was only later that the training industry realised they could make more money by splitting it into more modules, for slug Pelleting, etc.
You and I may be deemed competent in using a weed wiper, whereas the young ‘uns need further training.
When I did my PA6 I did the injecting add on as 2 on the course were knotweed specialists.Got to do my 'f' at some time in the future... But in all honesty, what can it cover?
No calibration required, just follow the manufacturers instructions for use of the machine and setting flow rate...
Using my usual 40:1 rate with glypho in my Rotowiper I find the nettle kill is much better than thistles and rushes, more leaf area. Now obviously nobody would admit to using weed killers through a wiper, unless it was on the label, but there must be an awful lot of anecdotal evidence of others such products effectively, and at what strengths...

Never had any problem with that myself. The biggest issue I have with glyphosate in a wiper is transfer to grass by the wheels. A grass safe herbicide would avoid this risk.
PA2f is what you need to go wiping.I was told they weren’t. I have PA1 2 and 6 and apparently there is a module that needs to be done in addition to PA2 tookeep right!
My PA2f course is provisionally booked for week of 24th inst..Just go do it there’s no training now not till next year really with covid.

Using an injector which is exactly like my 7-1 gun I pushed it through the length of pipe insulation, which was pretending to be a knotweed plant, squeezed the trigger and I had done the course!
