Wasn't the idea of subsidy to keep food cheap for the masses, i fear quite a bit goes to range rover dealership's not its original purpose.
No, the subsidy was supposed to keep people on the land, which is what happens in france.
Over there your sub will be stopped if you dont do the work yourself.
The uk as usual has managed to twist the aims of the cap so that subsidy has simply inflated rents, land values and led to mass evictions of tenants, managers and workers

The extras to get to £150:

Load in, push up, load out, hedge cutting, general tidying, insurance, three more spray passes.

Granted, rolling, spraying, spreading are only really costing £1.50/AC.
Spraying and spreading only cost that if everything brought to the field and spreader loaded.
£1 extra for trailer, bowser, forklift, man?, or for travelling back to yard.

Edit. And that's without cropping plans/meetings, crop walking, pricing, ordering, unloading and storing inputs.
