In fact you can't get holiday insurance for amber/red list countries and you have to have valid travel insurance under the new rules to enter France.

Isn't it funny that they've only started talking about the Indian variant recently as being potentially a problem, and much more transmissible than our Kent, which was much more transmissible than the European one, which was much more transmissible than the Wuhan one? It seems they identified the Indian variant back in October. So it presumably took the early variants quite a long time to become established in the populations.

But you don't get the full effect until 3 weeks after the 2nd jab whichever vaccine and that's from the Dr s mouth.

Waste of time- it was already across the globe. Maybe travel restrictions slowed the rise in cases, we won't ever know.
Covid-19 was around the world by December 1st 2019, I would put money on it.

In the absence of facts to say otherwise, I'd have preferred to try slowing it down earlier than we did and maintain more control in an attempt to prevent it taking such a hold in the UK.
Instead Nazi Face went round covid ward shaking hands.
