Another one on the environmental bandwagon

Except these people aren't really the enemy though, they're supposed to be representing and looking after the local people's interests and environment. Not repeating utter bollox cos they're dopey.

It's concerning how easily led they are, by one side. The question I have is where that decision making stems from. Sure, education would solve it, but when they make public announcements before properly investigating the issue....... damage done.

Two weeks ago our local council (Fife) put a message very similar to the one that has been posted by South Ayrshire it also caused quite a sh!t storm of replies from the general public and has since been removed.
I asked if the person/persons responsible for putting the message up were being led by central government or was this just some local hero jumping on the fashion bandwagon.
Seeing almost the same message being posted tonight I am more inclined to think that it is being driven from "further up" than local council.

After 21mm of rain yesterday and it pissing down non stop today I would like to offer the good farmers of Ayrshire the best of fekin luck increasing nut production by 150%!!
zero nut production X 150% = 0 job done give me a subsidy for achieving your goal.

So 75% reduction in red meat, does that mean bacon bad, pork good
steak bad, white veal good
chicken leg bad, breast good
black pudding bad white pudding good

Has anyone challenged them on the race card they sound like white supremacists'.

Another golden opportunity missed. Council shoots itself in foot, even the public can see that and reacting to it. Use the furure to point out grass fed beef is carbon neutral, eating vegetables is good but still has environmental impact, nuts consume a huge amount of water to produce and pretty bad for the environment when farmed intensively. Farming can be part of the solution but look at fossil fuel use if you really want to make a difference etc...

Needs something like a farming pr department to counter these things. Oh wait, there is one highly paid one but they are No Fxxxxxx Use

... and that's the nub of the problem. Who decided to spend the publics money on this and to what practical value. Who is accountable to the tax payers, who gave them permission to spend taxpayer money on lecturing with a biased position.

Next time you tread in crap on the pavement remember they have enough budget to tell you what to eat but not enough to do what they're supposed to be there for!!!

So they have the money to talk crap but not to clean it up.

Update - I received a response from my councillor in 3 minutes who has forwarded it onto the Chief Executive of the Council who has instructed the comms team to remove the post.
Post has already gone off the facebook page. Bit of a shame as I was going to look at the rest of the comments. Over 700 comments when I was looking and really shows the propaganda farming is up against and really needs a full on response from the farming industry. Unfortunstely the NFU dont seem to be upto the task.

Having a wee chuckle at the guys from other parts of the world that have never been to Ayrshire trying to chip in with comments about the amount of vast amount of water used for cattle.
Perhaps someone should explain the facts of life to these fools, what goes in one end of a cow invariably comes out the other end!

Livestock are the perfect strategic food reserve. Squirrels, rabbits, and pheasants just won't be enough.
I think these veggies should read about the conditions in Stalingrad in WW2 and then see if we should be getting rid of meat. Personally I'd prefer to eat beef than human.

Most of the veganite propaganda gets ignored on fb, but I was glad to see the response to an official body sharing such nonsense. Sensible folk, the world over, donā€™t buy into the agenda.

Those supporting it really donā€™t seem the brightest of folk at all. I genuinely feel sorry for them, they drastically undervalue themselves.
