Prices getting pulled tomorrow? To go up obviously 🙄
F##k the lot of them is what I say!!!!
Had a call today saying how prices had come out but would be for today only and that although considerably dearer than last year it represented good value and he had had a lot of farmers secure atleast half if not more of there requirements at today's price.
I was a bit short with him and said "good you won't need me to order any then and to ring back when he could take a bit of sense"

I think unfortunately global prices are going to go up whilst the UK user sits as a spectator, goodness knows where things will be next spring, but currently the only way seems to be up, despite a lower uptake of product.

CF prices are lower than Yara are in Europe hence the lesser availability of alternative products at competitive prices, as they can currently make more for them elsewhere.

Urea prices have gone firmer again today.

Why would suppliers want to sell more tonnes at less money if they think it’s going up and they can sell it for more money later?

Buy when you think it’s right and suits your business needs, it’s a global market place with many firms accessing the imported products so it can offer alternative value, if global prices fall imports will rise and domestic prices will fall. The exact situation many are bemoaning about with regards farm produce. Conversely if global prices rise the availability is less so prices rise, etc etc

Why have fence stakes near doubled in price since November, or Railway sleepers, or cement powder?

Bonkers

nobody on here buys early...:ROFLMAO:
I have. Always buy early, and am very unhappy about the price this year. But half of required amount is now secure. Would be happier to have all required bought but its too strong.
One thing worse than dear fert, is no fert at all. Our bussiness needs to grow grass, starting in February. And if next feb o was waiting for haulage to bring me fertiliser I would be climbing up the walls.
