mind you i nearly bought secondhanded Horner grinder the other day.

SO...shearing again....BUT we have stripes and shearer reckons it's hard going :scratchhead: .....is it handpiece (as she thinks) or duff battery (it's 12v) as i think:scratchhead:
The instructions/ manual that came with that new handpiece horners pics and description shows very straightforwardly how to set the cutter and comb.
Making sure there is enough tension to start with is actually very important as is not having it to tight , but it could be that your 12v one won't power it well enough at a decent ( tight enough ) tension, mains has way more power .

Could be Spin's handpiece isn't run in right yet.

My Suregrip needed a lot of extra tension to work last year when it was new - much more than I was ever used to with the Lister Ace/Golden/Tallygrip. It never got too hot, but it did get hotter than the Lister, too


But now it's done a few hundred it runs with a lot less tension and stays cooler.
Run in, it's turning into a very nice handpiece 👍

There's always these :rolleyes:, dont need alot of tension, never run hot, can be prone to tekin a bit of skin though😗🤣🤣
