Looking around at the wider reaction away from this little enclave it's clear that this series is going down massively well with the general public. They aren't just liking it they're absolutely loving it. So many comments saying it's the best thing that's been on telly for years. Even hardcore Clarkson fans are saying it's the best thing he's EVER done (right up there with his war docs). Lots of comments too about newfound respect for farmers. Shame it's only on Amazon.

Taking the pee out of Kaleb because he doesn't want to go to London is pretty sneerning, comparing him to Kurtan from this country too.

Top notch "journalism" be like:

Meanwhile I clearly see a JCB farm loader.
She's an ignorant and hater.

I think Clarkson is using Kaleb to demonstrate how knowledgeable, worldly and incredibly competent young farmworkers are, yet might appear to a Londoner, quite simple.

The Guardian accusing Mr Clarkson of showing contempt for farming is absolutely hilarious.

A bit like Hitler frowning at Tottenham's use of the nickname 'yids'.

well, I don't want to go to London either, if I wanted to go abroad I would go properly abroad I think! When my children were little we took them up to see the science museum, and they got really fractious and disliked the number of people and the heat in the underground, so I went into a kiosk and bought some Brecon Carreg water for them, I remember they were so happy to get some good Welsh water to drink!

Yet they're the tossers who turn up here to their second homes and cause chaos by clogging up our little town to go the the 'wonderful' pub that caters exclusively to their sort, ironically its the place where This Country is filmed.

“The unignorant dealer recommends a modest machine that will do the job nicely. Jeremy orders a 10-ton, £40,000 Lamborghini model from Germany.”

Nobody else with a 1000ac farm would have chosen a tractor from Patrick Edwards vintage collection as the main mover either. They were not “modest machines that would do the job nicely”.

I thought it was great i enjoyed the show had a few laughs smacked my head against the wall the crap you guys have to put up with in the uk is the stuff of nightmares but the opportunity to sell in a farm shop to a huge population is a dream love the English country side and the villages

the lady reporter seems to think that whilst Jeremy went to his local tractor dealers slightly tongue in cheek he should have bought the 80 hp case that the dealer suggested could do it, oh yes 1 80 hp tractor for 1000 acres , good lord this is why people who don’t know what they are writing about should be given such influence. Love the show

Bit like suggesting the guardian could print all their copies out of a dot matrix printer.
